What customers say?

“ Perfect Hainan Chicken, they really nail all the elements. I drove two hours to try this place and I'm glad I did. The fried dumplings were nicely fried and seasoned with good filling. The chicken was moist and tender, and they give you a lot! The rice was perfectly seasoned with the subtle beauty of ginger and garlic, maybe a hint of green onion. The soup is perfect, it will warm your soul (and fix a hangover). The sauces have nice bold flavors and they don't charge you extra for more if you want it! They set it out on a side table for you to take as you like. The staff is so nice and friendly and genuinely appreciate your business. The best Hainan chicken ive found in southern California. ”

“ The hainese chicken here is great. I called in my order versus using the online grub hub and the price was cheaper by $4 per dish. ”

“ Original Hainan Chicken: 3.75/5 I was so excited to eat here but I was simultaneously pleasantly surprised and disappointed. The portions were great, the chicken was moist, and the sauces were good. The 2 things that shocked me were the temperature of my food and the quality of the soup. My food was lukewarm at best, it made it taste old, like it’s been sitting out all day. Also the soup was at the perfect temperature to grow some sort of bacteria, warm but not hot enough to fight against microbes. It also tasted shockingly similar to Swansons low-sodium broth. It definitely feels like a possibly excellent dish, but they seemed to have given up along the way. Zabb Chicken: 4/5 Again, great flavor, crispy chicken, a possible banger but the chicken was cold and the rice even colder. The flavor was so good I couldn’t give it less than a 4, but an easy 5/5 with a little TLC. When it was taken home and warmed up, it was a world of difference. Ambiance: The restaurant is really cute and has that sort of late 2010s weeb charm, but it does feel like they gave up. It’s clean but looks old, the lighting is dingy, and there was no music. They had a good stream of to-go orders and I can understand why. Service: Super quick. Maybe not the most personable, but I get it. Parking: Small parking lot but I can’t imagine it being too busy. Be prepared to park elsewhere though. ”

“ Good food in a nice setting with affordable prices. It’s why this chain is one of the best in the game. Also very cool to see their success with a unique approach to chicken and rice. 5 stars ”

“ The chicken was crispy, not greasy plated with super-fresh veggies. I cleaned the plate. Quick service if you are on a time crunch also. ”

“ Seriously... Chicken & Rice. I can't believe how simple this place is but also how delicious it is. I've been coming here for over a year now and I can't seem to get enough. I always get the same order every time whether I dine in or take out which is the Hainan Chicken Rice with a Taro Milk Tea w/BoBa. I can say this dish is such a great portion for one. A cup size of their garlic rice, lots of chicken with cucumbers & cilantro, also two of their house sauces on the side. The two sauces on the side are very flavorful, one is the House spicy Giga sauce & the other Sesame Soy. I will say the spicy Giga is not that spicy... coming from someone who doesn't do spicy anything. The service is always great and extremely fast. I don't think I have ever waited more than 15min for my order. The restaurant is very demur, has lovely eye catching paintings and decor. Taisha is located on 4th street off a busy street but there is plenty of street parking out front and around the block in the residential. If you're in the Long Beach area and looking for a good lunch or dinner...stop by. Enjoy! ”
